A playful take on the gamification of the world that surrounds us, this project looked at a speculative world in which augmented reality is the norm, and where there are numerous games to fit everyone’s taste.
The tale depicted is one of woe, and speaks to the fragility of online data, although its lens is one focused with satire. In reality, it’s unlikely that birds will cause digital fragmentation of AR-landscapes, although the interplay of animals and AR worlds in one that could be incredibly interesting to examine.
Champions of Architecture is a theoretical game in which you play AR Pong (Atari, 1972) against other live players, for the chance to win an NFT of a famous architecture landmark. In the speculative world, there are theoretically more games besides Pong that could be played in these battles, but here the user seems to have a strong preference.
